How to Pull Yourself Out of a Rut

At some point in our lives we can get so stressed out and worry to the point of pushing the people we care for most, away.

The past couple of weeks have been  rough. I had gotten “stuck in a rut” and knew that if I didn’t pull myself out of it soon, I could get very sick. I had to do something, fast.

It doesn’t have to be difficult to crawl out of that hole. Here is how I climbed out of mine. Hope it helps get you started in the right direction. (more…)

Journaling for Yourself

Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself and know that everything in life has a purpose. ~ Henry David Thou

Most true happiness comes from one’s inner life, from the disposition of the mind and soul. Admittedly, a good inner life is difficult to achieve, especially in these trying times. It takes reflection and contemplation and self-discipline. ~W.L. Shirer

I used to keep a personal journal through Middle and High School. For some reason, I haven’t kept one since. And I miss it. It doesn’t matter if you’re a writer or not. It’s important to have a place to be yourself 110% and preferably with pen and paper you can keep completely private.

’09-2010 Update

I know it’s been quite awhile since I’ve written. But now I have quite a bit to write about.

Last time I posted, I was starting my Copywriting course. Well, I have completed and received my certificate, which it’s smiling down at me from over the computer. This was completed by the end of last year. My instructor even left a wonderful testimonial on my Linkedin profile.

Side note: I hated school but let me say this, when I took classes that I enjoyed and knew the outcome of where they can take me, it was all worth it.

Fast forward to 2010: The beginning of this year I started a coffee blog, Daily demitasse just as a hobby and to educate others looking to get into the industry or for enthusiasts that want to learn more. I knew I didn’t want it to be a typical rambling blog of the general and cliché’ answering of questions and coffee reviewing. That was all I knew about my blog then. i was still figuring out the best way to go about writing-tone, style, topics. So in a way, I was finding myself and at the same time creating a niche.
