J. What kind of business do you run?
R. I run a branding and web design studio
J. Where are you headed as a business?
R. My business is scaling into a small agency with a team of about 4
J. What challenges were you facing and what motivated you to solve them?
R. Before working with you, my business was growing, and I needed to create a more streamlined process and schedule to get things done more efficiently. I was a big procrastinator and struggled with self-imposed deadlines. I knew I needed to work on my time management skills if I wanted to keep growing my business and keep up with client work without burning out.
J. Why did you choose us over the competition?
R. I wanted to work with someone who I knew has had similar experiences and challenges as I have when it comes to time management.
J. How did you find the VIP Day process?
R. Ever since we worked together, I use my google calendar and time blocking technique! I have recurring tasks set for the things I do every week and then I create time blocks for anything else on my to-do list each week. I also batch my tasks into certain days so I can focus on one client or project at a time instead of feeling so scattered every day.
J. How have you benefited from working together?
R. It’s SO much easier to see what my capacity is like at a glance because of the way I now organize my calendar (and stick to it!) It’s easier to say no to things when I truly don’t have the space for it. And it has also helped me see what is taking up most of my time and what things I can outsource to my team.
J. How has our 1:1 VIP Day improved your day-to-day life?
R. My days have more structure now where I know exactly what I need to work on AND I still have enough built in flexibility to rearrange things if something comes up.
J. What have you learned from working with us?
R. How to create a structure for myself that doesn’t feel restrictive! I used to spend so much time working all day and in the evenings and weekends because I wasn’t efficient with my time. And now, since I’ve gotten more efficient with my time and also figured out what made sense to outsource, I only work from about 10am to 4pm and never on weekends!
J. What would you say to other businesses facing the same challenges as you did?
R. If you want to continue growing your business, it’s SO IMPORTANT to get a handle on where your time is going and become more efficient! But not only that, it’s important to make space for EVERYTHING in your life. That’s why I think working with Jennifer is so amazing because she really helps you look at all your goals, personal and professional, and make time for all the things that are important to you, not just work.
